Yes, for any load-bearing change. Even non-load-bearing wall removal often requires permits when electrical, plumbing, or HVAC runs through it. We handle all permitting.
Often we can recess the beam flush with the ceiling — called a flush beam — so the result is a fully smooth ceiling. Some longer spans require a dropped beam, which we'll discuss honestly during planning.
A typical load-bearing wall removal with finish work runs two to four weeks from demo to final paint. Smaller non-load-bearing removals can be faster.
